What this page is35,208 rows held · newest sealed read 2026-09-07
- 200 cities have a page. A city needs at least 25 registered practitioners to qualify and we publish the 200 largest that do, so the smallest page here holds 34.
- 35,208 registered practitioners are counted on those pages, out of 52,273 roster rows with a readable US address. The difference, 17,065, is on no page here.
- 8,962 of the practitioners on these pages are counted without being named, because they list no firm or list only their own name. We publish organizations, never a private person.
- 11,441 firm listings appear across the 200 pages. A firm is grouped by the spelling of its name, not by any legal-entity check.
- Every number here is counted off the USPTO bulk roster download, read on 2026-09-07. Nothing on this page is typed in by hand.
Real rows out of our sealed copies
Both tables are counted off the same summary of the USPTO roster that every city page is built from.
| Row in the roster | How many | What happens to it |
|---|---|---|
| Rows in the USPTO roster download we read | 53,690 | everything the Office of Enrollment and Discipline publishes in that file |
| Of those, rows with a US city and a two-letter state | 52,273 | the rest list an address outside the US, or no city and state we could read, and they appear nowhere on this site |
| Of those, rows in one of the 200 cities that has a page | 35,208 | these are the people counted on the city pages |
| Of those, rows in a US city with no page | 17,065 | the city has fewer than 25 registered practitioners, or it did not make the 200 largest |
| Counted on a city page but never named | 8,962 | they list no firm, or list only their own name, so they are pooled into one Individual practitioners line |
| Firm names pooled because the name reads as a person's own | 2,410 | counted across every city that cleared the floor, whether it got a page or not |

Who published the data on this page
- Practitioner roster: USPTO Office of Enrollment and Discipline bulk roster download, read fresh at each site build. See SOURCES.md for the licence terms quoted from that page.
What this page cannot tell you
- We show organizations only. We never publish a registered practitioner's own name, home address, or phone number, even when the roster lists one.
- A city with fewer than 25 registered practitioners gets no page, and neither does one that qualifies but falls outside the 200 largest. Those practitioners are counted in the table above and named nowhere.
- Our automatic test for “this reads as a person's own name, not a firm” is imperfect. It correctly protects solo practitioners, and it also mistakenly withholds a small number of real company names; those counts are folded into Individual practitioners.
- Firm names are grouped by spelling after light punctuation cleanup, so two unrelated firms that share a name are not told apart.
- The USPTO updates its roster on its own schedule; our copy is only as current as the date stamped on this page.
- Registration to practice before the USPTO is not the same as being licensed to practice law in any state, and a listing here is not a recommendation.
- Roster data from the USPTO Office of Enrollment and Discipline as of 2026-09-07. US Tech Automations is not the USPTO. A listing is not an endorsement. This is not legal, tax, or professional advice.
See the file before you pay
You do not have to take our word for what is in the file. Here are 25 rows of the real thing, carrying all 3 of its columns, cut out of the dated copies we sealed ourselves. Nothing in it is made up and nothing in it is tidied up.
- Open the 25 rows as a CSVA plain spreadsheet file. It saves to your machine rather than painting itself into a browser tab, and it opens in Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets.
- The same 25 rows as JSONThe same rows again, laid out for reading with code.
What arrives after you pay: the buyer receives what you asked for as a CSV — the same plain spreadsheet as the sample file above, not a login and not a web page —.
What you would be paying for: $350 for a 12-month Featured listing in one city, naming your firm and website at the top of that city's page. One Featured firm per city; if the city you name already has a Featured firm when we process this, nothing runs and the payment is refunded on request within 14 days. Records may lag the source roster by up to one site build. After you pay, Stripe sends you to a page carrying your own payment reference. That page confirms the city and firm name you gave at checkout and says whether that city's Featured slot was still open, normally within 15 minutes. If it was already taken, reply to your Stripe receipt and the payment is refunded on request within 14 days. Nobody emails you. Your firm appears on the city page at the next site build. Still not there after 15 minutes? Reply to your Stripe receipt.
These 25 rows are a slice of the file, not the whole of it. What we cannot show you here is how far back it goes: that is the part you are paying for.
