See Amazon book ranks on the page

Self-published authors get extra context on their own Amazon book page, without leaving the page. A Chrome add-on for self-publishers reviewing Amazon.com book pages. Chrome currently offers 0.1.2. It shows observed overall ranks, category placements, prices, reviews, and local search summaries. It does not estimate sales. The tables below are made-up examples of that overlay.

What this is

KDP Lens reads the Amazon.com page already in your tab. The 0.1.2 update separates an explicit overall Books or Kindle Store rank from category and list positions. If an overall rank is missing or ambiguous, it shows Unavailable. Search averages and publisher groupings are calculated locally. Page text stays on your machine; saved license keys may be rechecked by the entitlement service.

Every figure on this page is a demo overlay. These made-up values illustrate the public 0.1.2 overlay. They are not current Amazon observations or sales evidence. 0.1.2 does not predict sales or rank targets for reaching category #1.

What Chrome 0.1.2 showsdemo

  • Book pageTitle, explicitly stated overall Books or Kindle Store rank, observed category placements, price, reviews, and publisher. Missing or conflicting overall rank is shown as Unavailable.
  • Best-seller listThe displayed list position and title for up to ten entries. A list position is not treated as an overall book rank.
  • Search resultsResult count and review averages from the parsed results, plus a heuristic grouping of up to ten entries by publisher. These summaries do not measure demand or predict sales.

Free and paid

  • Free: 10 pages a dayCounted in your browser. At 11 the panel shows Unlock lifetime — $49 and a link back to this page.
  • Paid: $49 onceA lifetime key from the entitlement service. Paste it in the popup. A good check is cached 7 days so the add-on still works offline.

What it never does

  • Never touches your KDP accountNo login, no dashboard scrape, no upload.
  • Never sends page textBook titles, ranks, and reviews stay on your machine. License verification sends your key to the entitlement service, including rechecks of a saved key.
  • Never a receiptRanks, review counts, and publisher groupings do not establish unit sales, revenue, or a route to category #1.

See the overlay before you pay

You do not have to take our word for what sits in the file. Here is the demo overlay, illustrating the public 0.1.2 overlay, labeled as a demo. The downloadable examples also include list and search summaries.

What arrives after you pay: The lifetime key is printed on the thank-you page after payment. Paste it into the add-on popup.

What you would be paying for: $49 once for a lifetime KDP Lens license key. Free use is 10 Amazon pages a day without a key. The add-on never touches your KDP account and never sends page text off your machine. It is not a subscription.
